Technical writing: Sam has been writing for technical products, activities, and systems since 1980. The works include various engineering disciplines work products, reports, papers, and books; computer and website procedures; sales and marketing procedures; various manufacturing and managerial processes; governmental and private operational manuals; and team leading / facilitation processes. General reader publications: Sam has written for various publications for readerships consisting of general audiences. He began writing these types of general reader and feature articles in 1998 in a local area monthly newspaper. He has since written many single piece articles on a large array of subjects ranging from the Internet to politics, including lifestyle articles. Website content and ad copy: Beginning in 1996, Sam has been writing hypertext and other coding for website content and advertisements. A linked list is available on this website. Much of the first website content (1996) I ever created is still contained in the USBR governmental VE program site.  | Engineering: Sam is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in civil engineering. He is also a Certified Value Specialist (CVS-life) Due to his coordination, facilitation, and other activities, he has a very large knowledge base in other engineering fields. Computer and Internet: Sam began working with computers in 1976. He knows the history and software available from then to present. Starting in 1998, Sam was a principal in an Internet firm for many years. As such, he knows the history and practices from the early years to the present. His knowledge of current processes and products in computers and the Internet is extensive. Manufacturing and specific processes: Sam has worked with many manufacturing and other firms to improve their processes. As such, he has a very good understanding of these fields and how their activities affect business, engineering, and infrastructure. Business and economics: Generating products and services, and revisions to them, have a significant impact on the business environments for the firms involved. As such, Sam has worked on many business and financial issues such as impacts on cost, revenue, stock prices, loans, investors, marketing and sales, trends, regulations, and effects of politics. Law: I am not a lawyer. However, in college and after, I took several courses in the subject and have served as an expert witness. Due to this training and experience, I have a good working knowledge of legal issues and can converse and write accordingly. Security and specialized knowledge: Security processes and procedures are a growing issue for most government and private entities. Sam has worked with teams for these issues and has a strong overall knowledge in the needs and problems faced by those involved in these issues. Politics: Sam worked as a committee person for the Republican party and was active with them for many years. He has also worked in local politics with the Democratic party since the mid 1990's. Accordingly, he has an understanding of the internal workings and politics involved in both parties. As a confirmed independent, Sam has experienced the difficulties of working within the current political climates. Health and lifestyles: Sam has worked with many people that have health disabilities, are elderly, or have special needs. Thus, he has an understanding of the issues and problems involved when health fails and a change in lifestyles is involved. This knowledge is reflected in his writings and other activities. History: I have always been interested in history. Since a young child I have been reading historical books and documents. Reading and studying history was one of my recreational and nighttime activities before I become a teenager. I am fortunate in that the interest and knowledge was enlarged by many of the teachers I have had guide me to new viewpoints of history. It is a fact that history is often written by the victorious. Thus, it takes some effort to get another perspective that will widen the perspective of what the true history might be. Science and Technology: Science is another area I have always studied and followed. It helped fuel my desire to become an engineer, and added to the wonder of trying to understand our world, the Universe, and the technologies were use within them. Most of my electives in College were in other fields of science in areas for which I was not required to study. I have broadened my scientific knowledge with the theory of general and special relativity, prehistoric studies, geology, astronomy (including stellar evolution), and have practiced many thought experiments processes as espoused by Albert Einstein and others. Advertising: In addition to the technical aspects of advertising, Sam has written advertising copy for many businesses. He has also generated logos for several which have received many positive comments and several, in addition to being accepted as the logo for the business, have been trademark registered. Religion: In my early years I spent one semester each studying at two different bible colleges (two seminary schools). This training and previous experiences has enabled me to have an understanding of religion and some of its specific viewpoints. | |||||
